Big Girl Panties...Day 4!!!!

We're in Milwaukee & have been since Saturday night. We'll be here for 2wks total. Adam is going to school for work. Headquarters for GE Healthcare is here. We stay at the Residence Inn in Brookfield. We love it here. The rooms are like apartments & they have a really good breakfast every morning & a "dinner" at night. The weather is BEAUTIFUL!!! We can actually go outside & play without dying of heat exhaustion!!!

On Sunday we went to Frame Park that Adam & used to go to all the time when we first met. There is a nice playground & a river that goes through the park. We rented a surrey bike & brought popcorn to feed the ducks. It was SO MUCH FUN & probably one of the highlights of Brooklynne's life so far...she LOVED it. We'll go back before we leave to rent a paddle boat.

Adam is in school from 8-5 during the week so Brooklynne & I have been finding things to do to keep busy. This morning we went to Barnes & Noble. They have a storytime a few times a week with songs, crafts, puppets & they read a few books. Brooklynne really seemed to enjoy it so we'll be doing that again. We also are going to go to the zoo & children's museum while here but I think we're going to do those this weekend so daddy can come too!

Now to the most IMPORTANT PART...today is day 4 in Big Girl Panties out of the house!!!! Something has "clicked" & all of a sudden she's decided to go on the potty every time & to let us know when she has to go!!! The saying of the day is "Mommy, do you like my big girl panties!?!?" My answer is, of course..."I LOVE THEM!!!!" We're so PROUD of her!!! Nothing cuter than a little booty in big girl panties running around the house!!! Clothes fit so much better too!!! She's had one accident each day, but so far today we're doing good....she'll get it down!!! YAY FOR BROOKIE!!!!

Another highlight...I haven't been sick AT ALL since we've been here!!! Not sure if it's because I'm farther along or because it's not hot here, but I'm LOVING IT!!! Hopefully it continues!!!

There's Nothing Cuter....

So Brooklynne wants to wear "BIG GIRL PANTIES" now! We're taking it a step at a time, but she did okay yesterday & she's doing good again today! She only wants to wear the panties around the house, no jammies, guess so she can see them. She comes up to me off & on & says "mommy, you like my panties?!" She's SO PROUD of them!! Hope this continues & she's potty trained all the way before #2 gets here. I've always said I don't want 2 in diapers, guess technically I wouldn't have since she's in Pull-Ups...but they do both cost lots of $$!!!

There's NOTHING CUTER than her little dance that she does after she goes potty!! I sing "pee-pee on the potty, pee-pee on the potty" & she does this little hop skip dance around in her panties...SO SO CUTE!!! She's so proud of herself every time she goes, & I'm So proud of her!! Potty training is by far the hardest thing that I've EVER had to do!!! I WILL get it done though...eventually ;)

Brooklynne has been singing since about 18months, but her song selection has really increased lately. She has so many songs memorized...LOVE when she walks around the house singing...again...There's NOTHING CUTER!!! I'll try & remember all that she can sing, I really need to record her singing them...it's SO CUTE!!!

I know I'm leaving some out, but don't know which one's...Prego Brain!!!

I've been feeling REALLY good the past few days!! Thank goodness!! I can't believe I'm already at 9wks, this pregnancy is really going fast so far. I think it still hasn't hit me that I'm pregnant. It'll probably be just like with Brooklynne where it doesn't hit me until I start to feel the baby move. Then you have a constant reminder!! Can't wait for that!!!

2 Minutes, 2 Pounds

So everything right now is "mommy, wait 2 min." or "Just 2 min." & when she's not saying that she's saying "It's 2 pounds, 2 pounds!" Don't know where she gets that from!!!

This morning I woke up & opened the door to check & see what she was doing...wish I wouldn't have!!! She was sitting at the dog gate with all of the stuff in my wallet & bag that's in the diaper bag all over the floor, but the greatest thing was all of my $$ was in the dog room, guess she thought the dogs needed it more that I did!!! Luckily we have good dogs & they didn't eat or chew it up!!! I asked her at one point where something was, & she said "I don't know!"....first time she's ever said that!! On top of all of that she had taken off her pull-up & had peed on the couch, at least she had tried to clean it up with wet wipes, she had EVERY wet-wipe (hep-ipes is what she calls them) out of the box & all over the living room floor!!! She kept saying "It's okay mommy!"

She's still living, & the couch cover is in the dryer now, all $$ was accounted for!!

Now the most frustrating part of all of that is that she NEVER takes her pull-up off to go & potty. I've tried & tried to get her to pull it down & she never can, guess she only does it when she wants to!!!!

I'm upset about my medicine, I tried not taking it for a few meals to see if that was what was making me tired & it is!! Glad I've got that figured out, but now what am I supposed to do because when I don't take it I get sick...guess I'll just have to try & figure it out!! Adam says "Regardless, if you're sick or tired, you're useless either way!!" Thanks honey...that's just what I wanted to hear ;)

We had a good weekend overall, didn't do much, but I like that sometimes!! We got Xander's, my nephew, Birthday present & have to put it in the mail today. He'll be 1 on Saturday, seems like just yesterday we were seeing him in the hospital!!!

I went into the room which will be the new baby's room today, humm....what are we going to decorate like in that room, I think we've decided to wait until we find out what it is before planning. We did, I think, decide that we're going to use Brooklynne's crib & changing table in the new baby's room & get her new furniture, that way we only have one set of baby furniture.

Take Me...

Brooklynne always says take me instead of hold me or pick me up...too too cute!!! She's getting so big these days, starting to loose baby fat, it's so hard for me to come to terms with the fact that she's not a baby anymore!! She's almost always spoken in sentences, but now she's adding a lot more to her vocabulary...."Wait Mommy, I'm coming!", "Don't worry!", "What's Wrong Baby, It's Okay!"...yes she calls us baby, guess cause we call her that, funny to see a 2 year old calling her parents baby though!!!

I had a good visit at the Doctors office last Wednesday. Their ultrasound says a due date of the 27th...GEEZE just keeps getting pushed back!! Since it's not all adding up I'm going back to see the doctor & have another ultrasound on the 23rd, guess then they'll let the Dr. make the final decision on when he wants my due date to be!!!

Well, after a week of feeling horrible...I finally called the doctor to see if there was anything they could do, they called me in a prescription of Reglan...LOVE it!!! I'm not sick anymore!! I have to take it before every meal & at bedtime, it's amazing what a tiny pill can do! The only problem now is that I'm having EXTREME FATIGUE!!! I was thinking it's probably associated with the Reglan, but the nurse doesn't seem to think so.

I know that all pregnancies & children are different....but this one is kicking my butt!!! This better be a Cute Kid!!! I'm ready for the 2nd trimester, maybe then things will smooth out!!

There's a Baby in My Tummy

Well...I thought that I was getting by so easy this pregnancy...I was wrong!! I started feeling bad on Sunday & it hasn't stopped yet, I don't have morning sickness, I have all day sickness! I'm just nauseous all the time, O'well, guess that's all part of it! This morning I told Brooklynne "I don't feel good!"...a few min. later she was on the couch with "boo" & looked at me & said "mommy, I don't feel good!" She's such a little stinker!

She always says she wants to see the baby & lifts up my shirt. She'll say "Hi Baby, wanna play with me!??!" I tell her that the baby is still growing & when it's done it will come out & play with her, she seems okay with that! She's recently started lifting up her shirt & saying "See the baby in my tummy?" Guess she thinks since I have one that she does too...so cute!!

We went yesterday to let Wendy do an ultrasound....it's just a tiny tiny thing, but we could see the heartbeat already. It's predicting the due date to be Feb. 22, but by my calculations it's supposed to be Feb. 17th...guess it will get here when it gets here! As long as it's healthy we don't care!!

I have my first OB appt. tomorrow morning. Guess they'll give me their guess on what my due date will be too ;)
