The Fragrances of Fall!

YAY for cooler weather!!! We can FINALLY go outside & be comfortable! I've been burning all of my fall fragrance candles. Something about that makes me VERY HAPPY!!! Today has been spent cleaning the house & getting stuff together to pack for our trip. Tomorrow we go to Jackson to pick up "Grammy", & we're leaving on Saturday morning.

I was 18wks. on Tuesday. This baby is SO BUSY all the time! I'm REALLY starting to show. I went to the Dr. on Tuesday & everything is looking GREAT. I've gained 3lbs, but I usually go to morning appts. & this one was in the afternoon so I'm not too sure how accurate that is. Either way I'm measuring good & still have a normal blood pressure!

Maybe There is SOMETHING in There!!

Pretty much every morning Adam lays his head on my stomach when he wakes up. He's sorta been anticipating feeling the baby move since I've been feeling it for quite a while now. Well Thursday morning he finally did!! YAY!! She kicked his head so hard I saw it move! He said..."Well, Maybe there is something in there!" Well, glad he believes me now!

I talked to my mother-in-law,Ruth, on the phone the other day. I think we've decided on doing bugs for the nursery. Ladybugs, Dragonflies, Butterflies, Gerber Daises Ect. Bright colors like Brookies room. Adam's all for this idea...he's FINALLY starting to loosen up & talk a little about things now...FINALLY!!!

O' & we found some furniture for Brooklynne's room. I LOVE it, but will look a few other places before getting this set for sure. We're looking at a dresser that's similar to this one, but in White & the Bed in the other pic, but a full size. It's the Attic Collection by Broyhill. All solid wood & looks sorta beat up & banged up. I'm thinking this will be better...if it gets scratched...Big Deal!

Still a Girl....

Well yesterday was 17wks! Time is FLYING BY!!!

We went to the hospital & we tried to see "parts" again. We saw girl parts twice, but she wouldn't be still enough to get a good picture. Kept moving around, turning around, crossing her legs. Adam says I still don't have "physical proof" that it's a girl because I don't have an actual picture of the "parts" still, but I will have soon enough. It's a GIRL!!! So Exciting! Lucky Adam...he's gets to live with 3 girls in the house!!! Brookie was right all along...she is going to have a baby "sizzer"!

So exciting to think that before long we'll have a brand new "tiny baby" as Brookie says! Seems like so long ago that Brooklynne was small. I look forward to that again! Brooklynne is going to be a GREAT big sister. She even tells us that she's going to change poopie diapers...more power to her!!!

Now will the name REALLY be ALEXA!?!? We'll figure it out before too long!

ELMO LIVE!!! & Orange Beach

Well, this weekend was fun filled!! Adam, Brooklynne, Wendy & I went down to Orange Beach, AL on Friday after work. We got there late & checked into our hotel. We stayed at Hilton Garden Inn right on the beach. Nice! We've heard about going to see Elmo & Brookie's tickets everyday for almost a month now, & FINALLY the day arrived!!!

We got up & ready on Saturday morning. I'm not sure that Brooklynne really knew what was in store, but she was excited! We all wore Sesame Street face t-shirts. Adam-Oscar the Grouch, Me-Ernie, Brookie-Elmo, & Wendy-Cookie Monster. Now keep in mind that when we were all together & Brookynne was with us it was very cute, but to see lets say me in a bright orange Ernie shirt all alone...that was a different story! But Brooklynne was so excited that we all were "wearing t-shirts together!". The show started at 2:00 so we took our time getting ready & to Mobile. When we arrived at the Show we were greeted by a trailer with all the characters on it, that started the excitement! When we walked into the auditorium & Brooklynne saw the stage she said "ELMO LIVE!!!!!!" We were all so excited just to see her excited. Before the show began Daddy took her to buy a special Sesame Street Live Elmo...so cute & furry, she held onto it throughout the entire show! When the show started she was excited, but when the characters got off of the stage & came into the crowd she started getting scared. We were only 7 rows back so they came right up to us. She sat in her daddy's lap & almost in tears said..."I wanna go home!" After awhile she warmed up to the idea, & enjoyed the show but still didn't like for them to come up close! The show was VERY good...we all enjoyed it! We left with a new Elmo, a soundtrack from the show & an Elmo Balloon. She was so overstimulated from all of it that I still don't think it's all sunk in, but she Loved it & will tell you she did, but she will also add "they scare me!"

When we got back to the hotel we got ready for the beach & spent the rest of our day there & in the pool & hot tub. We had such a GREAT time. One of the highlights of Brooklynne's life!

On Sunday we woke up & went to the Beach for an hour & then got ready to go. Before leaving the Beach we stopped to take pictures in the sea grass. We stopped at the outlet mall in Foley & then ate lunch at Lambert's...YUMM!!! Then we headed home. We all had such a GREAT weekend!!

Tomorrow I'll be 17wks pregnant....ALMOST 1/2 way!!! I'm really feeling the baby move these days, such an amazing feeling! Sometime this week I'll head over to the hospital for Wendy to scan me & see if we can see girl parts yet...still wondering. Don't know if I wrote in the previous blog, but Brooklynne insists on calling this baby Alexa, so we'll see about that. I have no clue where she picked that name from. We don't know ANYONE named that & it's not a name on any of her t.v. shows. It'll be hard for us to name this baby anything but Alexa!!!
