I'm a Mommy to Two BEAUTIFUL Girls!!

So I've been a mommy to two Beautiful little girls for 2wks&3days now! I knew that I would love Lexi just as much as I do Brooklynne, but it's AMAZING to actually be able to!! I can't believe how easy it has been to go from one child to two. It's really been no big deal!

We thought that it was hard to have a newborn when Brooklynne was born, but now having had a two year old & a newborn....a two year old is MUCH harder....newborns are a BREEZE...well....for the most part!!! LOL!!!

Lexi Kate arrived on Feb.13,2009 at 2:01 p.m. She was 7lbs11oz & 201/2 in long.

We went into the hospital at 2:00a.m. They got us all checked in, all the paper work done, & the IV put in. I was dilated to a 2 or 3. At 3a.m. they started put the first pill in my cervix that softens it & helps it start to dilate & gets the contractions started. They can do one every 4hrs. so at 7a.m. they put in another one. By this time I was starting to contract pretty regularly & they were starting to get somewhat uncomfortable. By 11a.m. I was having at least 4 contractions every 10min. so they were able to start petocin. From there everything went very quickly. I started to dilate very quickly. My water broke on it's own sometime around 1ish. We REALLY didn't think that the dr. was going to make it in time. He was delivering another baby at a different hospital! When he arrived she was almost here! He walked in & said you can push whenever you want! Just a few & she was here! Everything went so smoothly!!

With Brooklynne I had had a half dose of staydol (pain med. through IV), but it made me loopy, I was out of it. With this one I didn't want to have ANYTHING unless I just couldn't bare the pain. Luckily I didn't have to have anything, not even a Tylenol! It was painful, but nothing I couldn't handle. I think it's helped that I've had such bad back pain. It's really built up my tolerance for pain! It's so Amazing that your body just knows what to do when you go into labor & it's SO NATURAL!!!

When I had Brooklynne they took her directly to the little heating table & started cleaning her up & doing her measurements and everything that they have to do. It took a good 10 or 15min. before I got to hold her. That's the ONLY thing that went wrong with my experience with Brooklynne. With Lexi I told them that I wanted them to give her to me the minute that she was born unless there was something wrong with her. They did & that made this experience PERFECT!! O' how I wish they would've done the same with Brooklynne. There's nothing like being the FIRST person that your baby sees & being able to look into their eyes for the first time!

Brooklynne has fell in love with her right away as did everyone else! My mom & my sister,KiKi, & of course Adam were all in the room for the birth. My dad was there but took Brooklynne to the waiting room right before Lexi arrived & then brought her back in right after for her to meet her little sister for the first time!

As soon as she was born I felt so complete & still do! Our family is complete. No more babies!! Everyone asks if we're going to have a Boy...NO!!! I wouldn't know what to do with a boy!!! I Only know Girls!!!

Brooklynne slept all night from 4days old. Lexi hasn't been quite that good, she has her moments! Brooklynne has been a GREAT big sister! She wouldn't know what to do without Lexi in our house now! She's a Good Helper, but sometimes a little too much ;)

I'm so happy that Lexi is finally here & healthy. Two healthy girls, a WONDERFUL husband...I couldn't ask for more than that!

Yesterday was mine & Adam's 5th Anniversary! WoW...time sure goes by quick!!!
