Are you Kidding me!?!?

Where Does The Time Go?!?!

All within just a week, Lexi Kate turned 6months old, got 2 teeth & is sitting up on her own as of last night!!! I'm AMAZED at how fast she's doing everything!!! She's even started to get up on her knees while lying on her tummy. It won't be long & she'll be crawling all over this house instead of rolling! I LOVE seeing her reach new milestones, but wish she'd slow down a bit! She's my baby, & it's going WAY too fast for me!! When we took her for her 6month checkup last week she weighed 16lbs 3oz. & was 26in. long!

Brooklynne started a Preschool Dance & Gymnastics class at Pat Grey Academy a few weeks ago. Tonight will be her 3rd class. She's LOVING it!!! She's learning tap, jazz, ballet, & gymnastics. She says her favorite shoes are her ballet shoes & her favorite thing to do there is the trampoline! Her friend Brenna was taking the class with her, but didn't like the idea of leaving her mommy, so she's trying the mommy & me class for awhile & will hopefully be able to join Brooklynne in the other class soon! I have to admit when we were on our way to her first class I did shed a little *tear*. She's growing up so fast! Seems like just yesterday she was the one getting the first tooth & learning to sit up on her own! Here are some pictures of Brooklynne's first day of class. When we took her for her 3yr. checkup last week she weighed 37 1/4 lbs & was 37 3/4 in tall!

My "PayCheck"

It was 4:38 a.m. when I heard Lexi's cries this morning.  I woke up & walked to her crib.  The minute she saw me her face lit up & she smiled the BIGGEST smile!!  Talk about one happy Mommy!  She's been smiling since the day she was born.  I've never seen a baby smile as much so early on as she has.

Most people get paid once a week or every other week.  As a stay at home mommy I get paid DAILY.  It's not money that I can put in the bank, but I wouldn't trade in my "paycheck" for all the money in the world.  Hugs, Kisses, & I Love You's are MORE than enough for me!!

Here are some recent "smiley" pictures...

Here's a video that I took of Lexi Smiling this morning.

I'm a Mommy to Two BEAUTIFUL Girls!!

So I've been a mommy to two Beautiful little girls for 2wks&3days now! I knew that I would love Lexi just as much as I do Brooklynne, but it's AMAZING to actually be able to!! I can't believe how easy it has been to go from one child to two. It's really been no big deal!

We thought that it was hard to have a newborn when Brooklynne was born, but now having had a two year old & a newborn....a two year old is MUCH harder....newborns are a BREEZE...well....for the most part!!! LOL!!!

Lexi Kate arrived on Feb.13,2009 at 2:01 p.m. She was 7lbs11oz & 201/2 in long.

We went into the hospital at 2:00a.m. They got us all checked in, all the paper work done, & the IV put in. I was dilated to a 2 or 3. At 3a.m. they started put the first pill in my cervix that softens it & helps it start to dilate & gets the contractions started. They can do one every 4hrs. so at 7a.m. they put in another one. By this time I was starting to contract pretty regularly & they were starting to get somewhat uncomfortable. By 11a.m. I was having at least 4 contractions every 10min. so they were able to start petocin. From there everything went very quickly. I started to dilate very quickly. My water broke on it's own sometime around 1ish. We REALLY didn't think that the dr. was going to make it in time. He was delivering another baby at a different hospital! When he arrived she was almost here! He walked in & said you can push whenever you want! Just a few & she was here! Everything went so smoothly!!

With Brooklynne I had had a half dose of staydol (pain med. through IV), but it made me loopy, I was out of it. With this one I didn't want to have ANYTHING unless I just couldn't bare the pain. Luckily I didn't have to have anything, not even a Tylenol! It was painful, but nothing I couldn't handle. I think it's helped that I've had such bad back pain. It's really built up my tolerance for pain! It's so Amazing that your body just knows what to do when you go into labor & it's SO NATURAL!!!

When I had Brooklynne they took her directly to the little heating table & started cleaning her up & doing her measurements and everything that they have to do. It took a good 10 or 15min. before I got to hold her. That's the ONLY thing that went wrong with my experience with Brooklynne. With Lexi I told them that I wanted them to give her to me the minute that she was born unless there was something wrong with her. They did & that made this experience PERFECT!! O' how I wish they would've done the same with Brooklynne. There's nothing like being the FIRST person that your baby sees & being able to look into their eyes for the first time!

Brooklynne has fell in love with her right away as did everyone else! My mom & my sister,KiKi, & of course Adam were all in the room for the birth. My dad was there but took Brooklynne to the waiting room right before Lexi arrived & then brought her back in right after for her to meet her little sister for the first time!

As soon as she was born I felt so complete & still do! Our family is complete. No more babies!! Everyone asks if we're going to have a Boy...NO!!! I wouldn't know what to do with a boy!!! I Only know Girls!!!

Brooklynne slept all night from 4days old. Lexi hasn't been quite that good, she has her moments! Brooklynne has been a GREAT big sister! She wouldn't know what to do without Lexi in our house now! She's a Good Helper, but sometimes a little too much ;)

I'm so happy that Lexi is finally here & healthy. Two healthy girls, a WONDERFUL husband...I couldn't ask for more than that!

Yesterday was mine & Adam's 5th Anniversary! WoW...time sure goes by quick!!!

Disappointed!!!!

I'm SO Disappointed!!!

This past Wednesday I started having contractions every 5min. starting about 11a.m. I wasn't in pain, but was wondering what was going on, so I called the Dr. & they told me to go to the hospital to let them monitor me. We went in that evening & all the contractions were showing up on the monitors. They checked me & said that I was dilated to a 2 almost a 3. That got me excited since on Monday at my Dr.'s appointment I was only at a 1. They called my Dr. & he wanted me to just go home. The contractions continued for the rest of Wednesday & then again on Thursday. Friday it was as if nothing had happened & I had VERY few contractions that day. On Saturday the weather was SO NICE so we went to the park & did A LOT of walking so I contracted all day that day & then again on Sunday also.

SO....Today I had a Dr.'s appointment at 3. I thought for sure that he was going to tell me that I was dilated more...Boy was I WRONG!!! He checked me & said that I'm only a 1!!! WHAT!?!? I had just gone to the hospital & they had said that I was almost a 3!?!? Words can't describe how upset this makes me. I thought that I was progressing....obviously I'm not!?!?

Now I'm going to have to go in at 2a.m. on Friday instead of 6a.m.....Sounds like it's going to be a LONG drawn out day & process!!! With Brooklynne I went in at 6a.m. was dilated to a 4 & had her a little after noon. Lexi's not going to be that easy!

I'm SO READY to have her....but I'm NOT looking forward to Friday AT ALL!!!!

10 Days 'Til Induction!

I officially have only 10 days left of being pregnant! I'm 2wks away from my "actual" due date, but 10 days left until my induction date!

I went to the dr. yesterday & everything is looking good. I'm 1cm dilated & 1/2 thinned out. I go back next Monday to see how far I've progressed & then the following Friday...yes....Friday the 13th....I go in for induction!

Most people would be leery of Friday the 13th, but we look at it as a lucky day. Adam's favorite number has always been 3. Brooklynne was born on the 23rd, I was born on the 30th, Adam was born on the 21st...if you add 2 & 1 together you get 3 & now Lexi is going to be born on the 13th....so we all have SOME connection to 3!

I chose to be induced again so that I could have my family here for the birth just like with Brooklynne. I can't wait to see Lexi's little face & for Brooklynne to FINALLY get to meet this little sister that we've been talking about for the past 9months! I can't put into words the emotions that are swirling through me right now!

Can't wait to go back to the Dr. Next Week & see how much I've progressed. With Brooklynne I was dilated to a 4 on the morning of going in for induction....so I'd love to be able to be that far along or more with Lexi! We'll see!!!

2. July of this year will be 5 years in Mississippi. I have no clue how we've stayed here for this long! We've almost wanted to move since we got here! 3. I think EVERYONE....yes....EVERYONE....should own a boppy pillow (I use mine everyday not just with Brooklynne & Will NEVER live without one!), Rachel Ray pans, A Dyson Animal Ball Vaccum, a Wii, & a digital camera I prefer Sony....I'm sure there's something I'm missing....& I'm sure I'll think of it once I'm done with this!

7. Speaking of being married...Adam & I don't fight...that's right....you heard me....I know it'd be hard to believe for those of you who only know me, but if you've met Adam you'd understand....how could you ever fight with him...he's so layed back & easy going!

8. I used to like to drive, but no I have no desire to. Adam drives everywhere. I only do if I have to.

9. We LOVE to travel! Most of our time traveling is spent going to see family since we don't have any near us. Our favorite trip so far was to Sandals in Jamaica. We'll take the girls to Beaches Resort there someday hopefully soon!

10. I LOVE Photography! I've only had Brooklynne's picture taken by someone other than myself once. I'd like to think I'm fairly good at it. I don't go ANYWHERE....even to wal-mart....without my camera! You never know when you're going to need it!!!

11. I LOVE my family eventhough it hasn't always been easy.

12. I miss everyone that I grew up with, but wonder if it'd be the same if we all met up again.

21. I don't know what I'd do wthout Muscadine Grape Juice from Post Familie Vinyards in Altus, AR. I NEED it to survive! My family always bring me more when the come to see me! I like to have a case of it in the garage just in case ;) I'm slightly stingy with it...if you've never had it before I MAY offter you a taste, but you'll probably not be lucky enough to have an entire glass ;) Don't worry though. I'm even stingy with it with myself....I only drink it if I'm REALLY craving some!

22. I check my facebook & myspace almost daily. It gets on Adam's nerves, but he knows that I love being able to keep up with my family & friends!

23. I LOVE my hometown of Ozark, Arkansas, but don't think I could EVER live there again!

25. I don't think I can watch t.v. with commercials now that we've had a DVR....We record EVERYTHING that we want to watch & then watch it later without commercials!

I'm not going back to proofread this eventhoug that's what I've always been taught to do....

ONLY 34 DAYS to GO!!!

It's been forever since I've posted a BLOG...got so caught up with life I suppose!

That's right...you read it correctly...only 34 Days left until my due date! Yesterday I was 35wks!!! The time is drawing near!!! We can't wait for Little Lexi Kate to get here & to finally get to hold her & see what she looks like!

I'm NESTING these days. I woke up the other morning at 5am wide awake & couldn't go back to sleep. I feel so overwhelmed with what I have left to do...even though when I got up & made a list of it all it doesn't amount to much! We have the nursery all ready & Just finished Brooklynne's new bedroom (just waiting on the quilt from Grammy). It turned out SOOO Good!!! This past weekend we got the swing, bathtub, bouncy seat, car seat, etc. down from the attic. This has made it SO much more real for Brooklynne. She likes to go into the nursery & use all of the "baby stuff" to play with her babies...actually that's where she is at this very moment ;)

Christmas was GREAT this year! It was so much fun having the "magic" of Christmas here! Brooklynne really understood the whole Santa thing this year! It was SO MUCH FUN! She's still talking about it!

As of now we don't have an induction date. It's just a waiting game. I think that's what I'm the most nervous about. I'm such a planner & I don't like not knowing what/when it's going to happen! I can say to myself that I should just relax & that everything will work out fine, but I can't convince myself!!! I go to the doctor this next Tuesday. I'll be 36wks. After that visit I'll be going weekly! Not much LONGER!!! YAY!!!!
